Arizona’s attempt to rebuild its offensive line just took a significant hit.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report that second-round rookie guard Chase Bisontis suffered a torn MCL that requires surgery and is expected to miss most — and potentially all — of the 2026 season.

Bisontis, the No. 34 overall pick, had been competing with Isaiah Adams for the starting right-guard job and represented an important young piece of Arizona’s offensive-line rebuild.

His loss removes both a potential starter and valuable interior depth in front of Jacoby Brissett and Jeremiyah Love.

This is an offensive-environment downgrade for Arizona, but not enough by itself to materially move Love or the Cardinals’ primary skill players down the FAZE draft board.

Do not overreact to the injury by aggressively downgrading Jeremiyah Love or Arizona’s other primary fantasy assets.

Instead, downgrade the Cardinals’ offensive-line depth and margin for error.

Isaiah Adams now has a clearer path at right guard, while Arizona has less protection against additional injury or poor interior-line play.

The Cardinals’ offensive line should be monitored closely as the regular season approaches.

The Cardinals may have lost one of their most important rookies for nearly his entire first NFL season.

The injury requires surgery, and Bisontis is expected to miss most — and potentially all — of the 2026 season.

Rapoport reported that only the MCL will require repair.

Bisontis was selected by Arizona with the No. 34 overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft and had been competing with Isaiah Adams for the starting job at right guard.

That competition mattered because Arizona entered the offseason needing improvement and greater stability along its offensive line.

Bisontis represented both immediate competition and a significant piece of the Cardinals’ longer-term plan up front.

Now Arizona loses that option before the regular season begins.

For fantasy football, this is more about the environment than an individual player adjustment.

Jacoby Brissett now has one fewer promising interior blocker protecting the pocket, while rookie running back Jeremiyah Love loses a player Arizona invested heavily in as part of its effort to improve the run-blocking infrastructure around him.

The injury does not suddenly make Love a fade.

It does make Arizona’s offensive-line depth thinner and leaves the offense with less margin for additional injuries or underperformance.

This matters, but it should be kept in perspective.

Bisontis was a significant investment and had a legitimate opportunity to win the starting right-guard job.

Losing him removes an important young blocker and weakens Arizona’s offensive-line depth before Week 1.

But one guard injury is not enough by itself to materially change our evaluation of Jeremiyah Love or the Cardinals’ primary fantasy pieces.

The bigger concern is what happens next.

If Arizona’s remaining starting five stays healthy and Isaiah Adams performs well, this remains a manageable offensive-line downgrade.

If additional injuries or poor interior play follow, Bisontis’ absence becomes much more important.

For now:

Downgrade the offensive-line environment — not the skill players.
