Head Coach: Dan Quinn Offensive Coordinator: David Blough Defensive Coordinator: Daronte Jones
---
Team Report
Washington enters 2026 with significant coordinator change.
David Blough takes over the offense after being promoted from within the organization.
That continuity matters because Blough already worked closely with Jayden Daniels and understands what Washington has been trying to build around its franchise quarterback.
But there is also uncertainty.
Blough does not enter the season with an established NFL play-calling track record.
FAZE therefore should not automatically assume that Washington's offensive structure improves simply because the coordinator changed.
Faze Take
Washington is not a fantasy gold mine. It is a concentrated offense built around one player FAZE trusts: Jayden Daniels.
Daniels is a target because the consistency and upside are real. Stefon Diggs gives the passing game another credible weapon and is priced below where FAZE values him. Chig Okonkwo has sleeper appeal if Washington continues featuring the tight end.
Everyone else requires more caution. Terry McLaurin's fantasy volatility is too established for FAZE to ignore, and the backfield remains an opportunity bet rather than a trustworthy source of weekly production.
The biggest variable is protection. Losing Laremy Tunsil raises the risk around Daniels and, by extension, the entire offense.
Draft Daniels. Take the value on Diggs. Make the rest of Washington prove it.
The offensive numbers tell us something important.
Outside of Daniels, Washington produced very little consistent fantasy value in 2025.
McLaurin was highly volatile.
The running backs operated in a committee.
The secondary receivers were not useful fantasy players.
The tight-end position produced some value through Zach Ertz, but Washington now has a different player in that role.
Blough has an opportunity to build a more balanced offense, incorporate more play action and better distribute opportunities.
But until the offense proves that, the evaluation remains cautious.
FAZE Offensive Coaching Evaluation: Unproven.
Defensively, Daronte Jones presents a more intriguing schematic story.
Jones comes from coaching environments influenced by aggressive, pressure-oriented defensive philosophies, including time around the Mike Zimmer, Brian Flores and broader Belichick defensive trees.
That style does not always require overwhelming individual star power.
It requires athletes who can disguise coverage, pressure from multiple alignments and execute assignments.
Washington invested heavily in exactly that type of personnel.
If Jones successfully creates confusion and pressure, the defense could create more turnovers, shorter fields and favorable game scripts.
That would indirectly help Daniels and the offense.
FAZE Coaching Grade: B
There is legitimate upside, but both coordinator situations require proof.
---
Snapshot
Washington's offense was difficult to evaluate cleanly because Jayden Daniels missed significant time.
Daniels played only seven games.
Terry McLaurin played only ten.
The result was an offense where the quarterback remained relatively consistent when available, but nearly every other fantasy-relevant player struggled to produce dependable weekly outcomes.
Croskey-Merritt rushed for 805 yards and eight touchdowns but never developed into a true fantasy feature back.
McLaurin busted in seven of ten analyzed games.
The secondary receivers provided little fantasy value.
The offense became one of the most concentrated environments in football.
Jayden Daniels produced fantasy value.
Almost everyone else produced volatility.
That matters entering 2026.
Washington added several pieces capable of changing the roster.
Stefon Diggs immediately gives the passing game a second proven veteran receiver.
Rachaad White provides receiving ability out of the backfield.
Chig Okonkwo brings athletic upside at tight end.
Antonio Williams gives the receiver room a developmental rookie.
Kaytron Allen adds another young running back.
The defense was also upgraded with more speed and pressure potential.
The major negative is Laremy Tunsil.
His torn triceps is one of the most important injuries affecting Washington's 2026 outlook.
Losing an elite-caliber blindside protector changes the environment for Daniels and increases the risk attached to the entire offense.
Washington has added veteran offensive-line depth, but replacing Tunsil is not realistic.
FAZE Offseason Grade: B+
Washington added useful talent.
Tunsil's injury prevents a higher evaluation.
Washington has a relatively simple path to success.
Jayden Daniels must stay healthy.
The offensive line must protect him.
The defense must improve.
If those three things happen, Washington can compete.
If Daniels misses significant time again, the offense does not have enough proven fantasy consistency around him to compensate.
The Commanders have a realistic path to eight or nine wins and enough upside to reach ten if things break correctly.
---
Strengths
Daniels is the clear franchise foundation and the only Washington player who has consistently demonstrated high-level fantasy reliability.
Diggs does not have to become an elite receiver again to matter.
He simply needs to remain a credible receiving threat.
That would make Washington harder to defend and could help both Daniels and McLaurin.
Washington has added personnel capable of playing an aggressive pressure-oriented system.
More sacks, turnovers and short fields could substantially help the offense.
Croskey-Merritt, White and Allen give Washington multiple options.
The fantasy problem is figuring out which player gets which opportunities.
---
Risk Watch
Laremy Tunsil's injury changes everything.
Daniels' health already carried risk.
Now Washington must protect him without its best offensive lineman.
The numbers are difficult to ignore.
Outside of Daniels, Washington's major fantasy players have extremely volatile profiles.
McLaurin remains a talented NFL receiver.
His fantasy history is far less dependable.
FAZE will not ignore that.
Croskey-Merritt, White and Allen create multiple possible role distributions.
That reduces confidence in any single back.
David Blough may improve the offense.
There is not enough evidence yet to assume he will.
---
Offense
Washington's offense should be built around Jayden Daniels.
Everything else should flow from that.
His rushing ability creates stress on defenses, improves red-zone efficiency and gives Washington options in play action, quarterback movement and designed run concepts.
The most important question is whether Blough builds the offense around Daniels' strengths rather than asking him to become a traditional pocket passer.
Stefon Diggs gives Washington another professional route winner.
McLaurin remains the vertical and boundary threat.
Okonkwo gives the offense athletic ability in the middle of the field.
The running backs provide different skill sets.
Croskey-Merritt is the younger early-down runner.
White offers receiving value.
Allen gives the roster another physical option.
This offense has pieces.
The problem is that almost none of those pieces have demonstrated consistent fantasy production together.
FAZE Offensive Identity: Daniels-centered, balanced, unproven.
---
Defense
Washington's defensive philosophy may be one of the team's biggest reasons for optimism.
Daronte Jones should bring pressure, disguise and multiplicity.
That type of defense can create mistakes without requiring an elite player at every position.
Washington has added enough speed and athleticism to make the structure interesting.
If the pass rush improves and the defense creates more turnovers, the entire team becomes easier to manage.
The offense gets shorter fields.
The running game gets more favorable game scripts.
Daniels does not have to carry every possession.
That could matter significantly.
FAZE Defensive Identity: Aggressive, deceptive, pressure-oriented.
---
Team Report
Before the Tunsil injury, Washington could reasonably have projected offensive-line improvement.
That changed.
Tunsil's torn triceps removes Washington's premier blindside protector and directly affects the player who matters most to the organization.
There are still pieces Washington can work with.
Young linemen can improve.
Veteran depth has been added.
But this is no longer a unit FAZE can confidently describe as a major strength.
The offensive line now becomes one of the biggest swing variables on the entire roster.
If the replacement plan works, Washington can survive.
If protection becomes a weekly problem, Daniels' health risk rises and the entire offense becomes more fragile.
FAZE Offensive Line Evaluation: Concerning.
---
Team Report
Washington has invested heavily in speed and pressure.
The philosophy is clear.
Create disruption.
Force quarterbacks to make decisions before they want to.
Use multiple rushers and disguise where pressure is coming from.
The unit does not need one player to dominate every snap if the scheme consistently creates favorable matchups.
That makes the defensive front potentially one of Washington's most important improvements.
---
Team Report
The secondary should benefit directly from better pressure.
Coverage becomes easier when quarterbacks cannot comfortably hold the ball.
Washington has added athleticism and experience, but the group still needs to prove that it can become a consistent strength.
The best-case scenario is a complementary defense where pressure and coverage improve each other.
---
Faze Context
Washington is one of the clearest examples of concentrated fantasy value.
There is Jayden Daniels.
Then there is everybody else.
Daniels is already a player FAZE wants.
McLaurin is a player FAZE is willing to fade despite his name and consensus value.
Diggs is a veteran FAZE believes may be undervalued.
The running backs are committee bets.
Okonkwo is a sleeper.
Antonio Williams and Kaytron Allen are developmental watch-list players.
This is not a fantasy football gold mine.
It is a team with one premium fantasy foundation and several conditional opportunities.

Concentrated
Washington is not a team where FAZE wants exposure to everyone.
The primary target is Daniels.
Diggs may provide value if the market continues pricing him like a lower-end WR4.
Okonkwo offers sleeper appeal.
The rest of the roster should be drafted carefully and based on price.
---
Team Report
This is the season.
Nothing matters more.
The answer will affect nearly every offensive projection.
If Diggs gives Washington another 800-1,000 useful receiving yards, the entire passing game becomes healthier.
FAZE will believe it when the results change.
Croskey-Merritt has talent.
White has receiving ability.
Allen is the rookie.
Opportunity will determine the fantasy value.
If Washington uses Okonkwo similarly to how it involved Zach Ertz, there may be significant value available late in drafts.
---
Team Report
* Jayden Daniels * Terry McLaurin * Stefon Diggs * Jacory Croskey-Merritt * Antonio Williams * Chig Okonkwo * Young offensive-line pieces * Washington's rebuilt defensive front
The roster has enough talent to compete.
The issue is turning talent into consistent production.
---
Team Report
The biggest current loss is Laremy Tunsil's expected extended absence.
That single injury has more impact on Washington's fantasy outlook than most traditional offseason departures.
It directly affects quarterback protection, offensive stability and Daniels' availability risk.
---
Team Report
Styles gives Washington a highly athletic defensive piece capable of functioning within an aggressive pressure-and-disguise system.
Fantasy relevance: Indirect but meaningful. Better defense can improve game script and offensive possession quality.
Williams arrives from Clemson with route-running ability and developmental upside.
Fantasy relevance: Direct. Late-round and waiver-wire watch-list player.
Allen arrives from Penn State as a physical runner entering a crowded backfield.
Fantasy relevance: Direct but role-dependent. Monitor rather than draft aggressively.
---
Team Report
Washington should be approached selectively.
Jayden Daniels is the player to actively target.
Stefon Diggs is the player FAZE may be ahead of the market on.
Chig Okonkwo is the late-round sleeper.
Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White are price-dependent committee bets.
Terry McLaurin is the player FAZE is willing to fade.
That distinction is important.
FAZE ADP can show where a player belongs relative to the board.
Draft Actions™ still determine what FAZE actually wants managers to do.
---
Team Report
Young Clemson receiver with a possible pathway to a larger role.
Physical rookie who could become more relevant if Washington's backfield changes.
Usage will determine whether he remains TE26-level depth or becomes one of the better late-round tight-end values.
Washington needs to correctly update his team identity and ADP information before the final implementation.
His new Washington context materially changes his fantasy evaluation.

---
#### Terry McLaurin
Strong NFL player.
Highly volatile fantasy profile.

FAZE Action: WR46 range. Rounds 8-10.
#### Antonio Williams
Developmental rookie with upside.
FAZE Action: Eyes On.
#### Remaining Wide Receivers
Washington's remaining receiver depth does not currently produce a standard fantasy target.
---
#### Chig Okonkwo
Athletic.
Historically inconsistent.
Potentially entering a better fantasy environment.
FAZE Action: Sleeper. Rounds 13-15.
---
Washington's defense is more interesting because of the philosophical and personnel changes.
A pressure-heavy defense can create sacks and turnovers even without elite fantasy-name recognition.

Schedule
Washington has a Difficult schedule.

Seattle follows.
Then Washington travels internationally for the Colts game.
San Francisco arrives before the bye.
After the bye, Washington still has Philadelphia, the Rams, Cincinnati and Houston remaining.
The NFC West games are difficult.
The NFC East is difficult.
Houston's defense can create major problems late in the season.
Minnesota and Jacksonville should also be competitive opponents.
Tennessee and Atlanta represent some of the cleaner opportunities.
There are not many easy stretches.
FAZE Schedule Evaluation: Difficult.
---
Team Report
Weeks 15-17
* Week 15 — Atlanta * Week 16 — Minnesota * Week 17 — Jacksonville
The fantasy playoff schedule is manageable but not a major reason to draft Washington players.
Atlanta presents the most favorable matchup of the three.
Minnesota should be difficult.
Jacksonville should be competitive.
Daniels remains startable because his rushing ability protects his fantasy value.
Other Washington players will remain more matchup- and role-dependent.

Team Report
The NFC East is Difficult.
Philadelphia remains one of the strongest teams in football.
Dallas remains dangerous.
New York should be improved.
Washington cannot expect divisional games to provide many easy wins.
The Commanders also begin the season with consecutive road division games against Philadelphia and Dallas.
That increases the importance of starting quickly and protecting Daniels.
---
Team Report
Washington is capable of being better than an eight-win team.
The upside exists.
Daniels is a difference-maker.
Diggs improves the passing game.
McLaurin remains dangerous.
The defense has added speed.
The backfield has depth.
But there are too many questions to project an easy playoff season.
The offensive line lost its best player.
Daniels already carries injury risk.
The offense has almost no proven fantasy consistency outside the quarterback.
The schedule is difficult.
The division is difficult.
The coordinators are new.
That combination keeps FAZE from projecting Washington too aggressively.
Projected Record: 8-9
Upside Scenario: 10 wins if Daniels remains healthy, the offensive line stabilizes and the defense becomes a genuine strength.
Downside Scenario: Another losing season if protection problems lead to quarterback disruption or injury.

Team Report
Final Locked Playoff Odds™: 34%
Tier: Long Shot
Washington is a long-shot playoff contender.
The talent is sufficient.
The schedule and protection concerns make the path difficult.
A healthy Daniels gives Washington a chance in nearly every game.
But the roster does not have enough proven offensive fantasy consistency to assume everything works automatically around him.
The defense may become the team's most important stabilizing force.
If Daronte Jones creates the type of pressure and disguise Washington is hoping for, defensive takeaways and short fields could make life significantly easier for the offense.
FAZE Playoff Outlook™: Long Shot.
---
Team Report
FAZE has him at 54 while the market sits around 65. Round 5 is a completely acceptable target depending on roster construction.
FAZE's own consistency data says something different. His career volatility is too significant to ignore.
FAZE values him around WR46 and approximately pick 107, ahead of the current market.
Croskey-Merritt has talent.
White has receiving value.
Allen is developing.
Washington used Zach Ertz enough to create fantasy relevance from the position. If that role survives the coordinator change, Okonkwo has sleeper potential.
Clemson background, route-running ability and developmental opportunity make him interesting.
Nothing outside Daniels' health matters more than Washington's ability to replace Tunsil.
